2014 RWA NATIONAL in San Antonio, TX

 First things first, the BEST part of any conference is being with my BFF and critique partner, Sandy Blair, the author of great Scottish historical paranormals. Don’t we look like we are happy to be together? (We’re also learning to do selfies…big learning curve for us!)

So, the selfie learning curve got smaller and I managed to get a quick pic before heading down to the 2014 LITERACY FOR LIFE mega-author book signing. Imagine 400+ authors and thousands of readers in one place, all talking about and selling/buying books! Oh, wait…here’s the picture from where I sat!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

More fun. Romance author friends, Susan Sey, Joan Kayse and I meeting with our very good friend, romance reader and blogger at the Romance Dish, PJ Ausdenmore for breakfast.

 

 

 

Lots of evening parties were held this year. I got to catch up with one of my best pals from here in Texas, Kay Thomas. You can’t see him, but her handsome hubby took this picture of us at the Amazon get together for authors. Don’t we look just a little too happy? (Lots of champagne!)

 

 

 

And finally, this was taken by Sandy Blair at the Oklahoma Romance Writer’s READERS’ CHOICE AWARDS ceremony. SEIZED was a finalist in the novella category. It didn’t win, but what a HUGE honor it was to have readers nominate it among the hundreds of other entrants as one of the best for 2014!! I was thrilled!!
